Massimo Mariani - 1 Original page - Lauretta Story - 1998

Painted page of Lauretta story by Massimo Marinari, an erotic painted comic book (magazine size) he made with Puccini (story) in 1998. SInce Mainari painted 4 panels on a page, but mostly in the book 5 panels were printed on a page, the original panels and the printed page don't match (only some were printed 1 on 1). This page with 4 painted panels were printed on pages 5 and 6 of the book. Massimo Mariani is an Italian (comic) artist and author whose visual works and publications explore the meaning and construction of images through art and visual rhetoric. Massimo Mariani is a graduate in painting from the Accademia di Brera and has exhibited his artworks in numerous galleries in Italy and internationally. Marinari is known for both scientific publications, of which "What Images Really Tell Us: Visual Rhetoric in Art, Graphic Design and Advertising" and “Light in Art” are most famous, next to many articles he wrote. Also he created a Graphic Novel on Freud (translated in many languages; also in Dutch) and " New Look". There is not much work of Mariani available since most of his time he spends on his non-comic publications and exhibitions. I show some of his publications for reference, also the cover of Lauretta Story, but none of the books/comics are included; only the original art.
