These are wood statues of the Seven Gods of Fortune. From left to right, they are Fukurokuju, Bishamonten, Hotei, Daikokuten, Ebisu, Jurojin and Benzaiten. Bishamonten The god of warriors, protection, and righteous wealth. Bishamonten originates from Buddhist tradition and is believed to protect people from evil while rewarding honesty and courage. He is often depicted wearing armor and holding a spear or a pagoda. Fukurokuju The god of longevity, happiness, and wisdom. Fukurokuju has an elongated forehead symbolizing intelligence and long life. He represents a balanced life blessed with health, fortune, and wisdom. Ebisu The god of commerce, fishermen, and prosperity. Ebisu is the only Shinto deity among the Seven Lucky Gods. He is commonly shown holding a fishing rod and a sea bream, symbolizing success in business and abundance from honest work. Benzaiten The goddess of music, art, knowledge, and wealth. Benzaiten originates from Indian and Buddhist traditions. She is associated with beauty, creativity, eloquence, and financial prosperity, and is often depicted holding a musical instrument called a biwa. Daikokuten The god of wealth, food, and household prosperity. Daikokuten is a cheerful figure associated with farming, commerce, and family happiness.
