Italian School, 20th century. Charming oil painting on canvas, measuring 50x40 cm, signed in the lower right corner. The work depicts a pleasant interior still life with a white teapot, a decorated ceramic jug, apples, pears and fruit arranged on a table with a light blue tablecloth. The composition is warm and decorative, with soft colours, visible brushwork and a balanced arrangement of objects, typical of Italian decorative still-life painting from the second half of the 20th century. The painting has a refined domestic atmosphere, enhanced by the contrast between the pale tablecloth, the warm background tones and the ceramic objects. The signature appears to read “W. Artemo” or similar, although it has not been fully verified; for this reason, the work is prudently presented as Italian School, 20th century, signed lower right.
