In this lot: A very large beautiful Megalodon tooth from Sukabumi, Java, Indonesia. This is a huge lower anterior tooth just shy of 6 inches. It sat right in the front of the jaw of the greatest shark that ever lived. There are 5 anterior teeth on both jaws, 2 in the upper jaw, 3 in the lower jaw. The tooth was used to catch it's prey and create a lot of damage. Size: 14,8 cm This is a huge, robust and great tooth to look at. The crown is mostly intact. The enamel has a nice light color with fiery colored spots on both sides. The serrations are almost intact and are razorsharp and very well visible. The sharp tip gives this tooth a dagger look The bourlette is almost complete and has a nice red color. The shoulders are intact. and run perfectly down onto the root. The root including the lobes are very well preserved. I'd say around 80% is original. Which is rare. The photos are an integral part of the description and speak for themselves.
