Romania Kingdom – Royal Royal Decoration / Order “FIDE ET SALUS” – Commander grade style – Interwar period – cased. Beautiful original Romanian royal decoration with crown suspension, blue enamel cross and silvered radiant star design. The medal bears the Latin motto “FIDE ET SALUS” and comes in its original fitted presentation case marked “Comandor – Steaua României civil”. Likely produced during the Romanian Kingdom period (pre-1947), possibly by the well-known Bucharest maker Joseph Resch Fiii, whose marking appears inside the case. Condition: Good antique condition with normal age-related wear and patina. Enamel generally well preserved with minor wear visible under close inspection. Ribbon included. Box shows age and storage wear consistent with period items. Provenance: According to family history, this decoration belonged to my grandfather, a Romanian lawyer who was also a Knight of the Order of Michael the Brave (“Ordinul Mihai Viteazul”), Romania’s highest military distinction. The decoration has remained in the family collection for decades and is offered from a private estate. No official attribution documents are included in the sale.
