Chichibu “On the Way 2024” is a special edition from one of Japan’s most creative and admired craft distilleries. This release highlights a traditional craft rarely practiced in Japan: hand-malting the grains directly on the floor of the malt house, a process known as “floor malting.”
It is the result of a blend of various casks aged in Bourbon, Sherry, Mizunara wine, and Chibidaru barrels; casks with an average age of 9 to 15 years.
