Teebehälter/-kasten - Porzellan - Kangxi (1662–1722)

A very large blue-and-white Chinese porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period (1662–1722). From top to bottom, the vessel is decorated with ruyi heads, cartouches with stylised lotus flowers, and waves. The hallmarked silver mount is marked with a crescent moon, a crown, 800, and the initials WTB.

Condition: good, apart from a short, clean hairline to the neck of the vessel and minor chips to the glaze edge above the foot (see photographs).
