The Legend of Bianchi Celeste
The Bianchi colour has remained unique and unmistakable, travelling through both space and time: from the pale blue that accompanied the flights of the Campionissimo Fausto Coppi, to the latest incarnations blending shades of celeste and fluorescent green. Whether you stop by the roadside or at a café, watching the professional peloton pass by or the last group of commuters heading home from work, if you catch a glimpse of Celeste, you know it's a Bianchi. You don't even need to get closer; just that color alone is enough, a shade you feel like you've known forever.
Model Overview & Technical Specs
This marvellous Bianchi Via Nirone 7 Coast to Coast (C2C) perfectly embodies the heritage of Edoardo Bianchi’s first historic shop in Milan.
The frame engineering is a remarkable point of reference thanks to its high performance-to-weight ratio.
• Material: Constructed from aeronautic-grade 7000 series aluminium alloy, boasting a tensile strength of of 450N/mm2 and a specific density of 2,7kg/dm3
• Frame Design: Features double-butted tubes meticulously engineered to save weight where permitted by stress conditions.
• Geometry: Built with the oversize 35 mm seat tube. The smooth TIG welding gives an excellent aesthetic finish while preventing extra strain in the most stressed areas of the frame.
• Durability: A special anti-corrosion surface treatment carried out before painting ensures long-term durability.
Condition & History
• Authenticity: All parts are original and authentic to the period setup, except for the upgraded handlebars.
• Storage: The bicycle was fully working when it was safely stored 5 years ago. Brakes, tyres, chain, and grips were in perfect condition at the time of storage.
• Care: It has been kept indoors and covered at all times to protect the paint and components.
Shipping & Pickup Terms
• Condition: Sold as-is. Since it has been stored for a few years, a light standard check-up/tune-up is recommended before hitting the road.
• Logistics: Pick up only: London, W12. I am prepared to assist with the packing and handover process in full, but the buyer must arrange and organise the shipping courier/collection themselves.
