16 japanische & chinesische Kalligrafiepinsel mit Bambus-Pinselrollen — Shodō Fude Collection - Bambus, Holz, Tierhaar - Japan - 1900–2000

Item Description A collection of 16 Japanese and Chinese calligraphy brushes (shodō fude), presented on traditional bamboo brush rolls (fudemaki). This assembled lot offers a diverse selection of brushes ranging from large-format writing brushes to fine detail brushes, making it an ideal acquisition for calligraphy practitioners, collectors, or those interested in East Asian brush arts. The collection includes brushes of varying sizes and hair types: large brushes with grey/brown mixed animal hair suitable for bold, expressive strokes in the tradition of Japanese shodō, medium brushes with black horse or deer hair, and fine-tipped brushes with white goat hair and mixed hair tips ideal for detail work and small characters. Handles are crafted from natural bamboo and lacquered wood in a variety of finishes — natural bamboo, yellow-stained bamboo with burnt spotted decoration, rich brown lacquer, and polished dark wood — each inscribed with the brush name and maker in traditional Chinese or Japanese characters. The accompanying bamboo brush rolls feature traditional cord ties in purple and dark brown, providing elegant and practical storage. This collection represents a fascinating cross-section of mid-to-late 20th century Japanese and Chinese brush-making traditions, with brushes sourced from celebrated production centres including Suzhou and Zhejiang's Shanlian, the historic home of Chinese lake brushes. Size Height: 1.5 cm Width: 2.5 cm Depth: 27 cm (Dimensions refer to the longest brush in the collection.) Weight 128 g Condition All 16 brushes are in good condition with hairs intact and well-formed; some handles show minor age-related marks or light surface wear consistent with storage, but no damage to the brush heads. NOITICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
