This Tibetan right-handed conch shell, meticulously carved by a Nepalese artisan in 1990, uses a natural right-handed white conch shell as its base. The shell is sculpted in high relief with an image of Green Tara. Tara's face is compassionate, adorned with necklaces, and she holds a lotus flower. The carving is complemented by a halo and lotus patterns. The workmanship is delicate and fluid, with clear lines and a warm, natural patina. The conch shell is one of the eight offerings in Tibetan Buddhism, and Green Tara symbolizes salvation and the elimination of calamities, thus possessing both religious and artistic value. This particular piece was a handcrafted custom-made item from a specific year, with very limited production. It is now discontinued, and only a limited number remain in pristine condition.
