This is a retro Showa-era enamel sign from Taihei Co., Ltd. (formerly Taihei Brewing Co., Ltd.). Dating: The sign bears the name "Taihei Brewing Industry Co., Ltd." Since the company operated under this name for only five years, from 1951 (Showa 26) to 1956 (Showa 31), we can conclude that this is an extremely rare, period-authentic sign created in the late 1940s (early 1950s). Design: Against a yellow background, a large logo (trademark) modeled after the character "太" (Ta), which symbolizes Taihei, is centered. The words "Soy Sauce" are written on the left and "Saijo" on the right; this sign was distributed to retailers handling premium or high-grade soy sauce. Today, it is highly valued among collectors as a vintage antique item that conveys Japan’s old advertising culture.
