A delicate Chinese famille rose miniature vase dating to the Republic period (early 20th century).
The vase is finely decorated with colourful flowers and a songbird amongst garden plants, executed in a refined and elegant style. The neck and foot are embellished with black enamel decorative borders, while the base bears an apocryphal four-character iron-red mark reading “Qianlong Nian Zhi” (Made during the Qianlong period).
Although carrying a Qianlong mark, the vase was produced during the Republic period and reflects the high-quality decorative porcelain made in Jingdezhen during the early 20th century.
Height: 10.3 cm
Condition: Very good antique condition. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs observed. Minor kiln smoke marks consistent with the firing process and age.
