Local banknote from the City of Odessa, with a face value of 50 roubles, issued as an exchange note in 1918. This Civil War period banknote belongs to the local currency issues used in Odessa during the turbulent monetary conditions of the former Russian Empire. The design includes the denomination “50” and “Пятьдесят рублей”, architectural vignettes, an anchor emblem, ornamental framing, and decorative eagle motifs. The note has a vertical side panel with repeated “50” denominations and a two-sided printed composition in blue, brown and green tones. The banknote corresponds to Pick S338 / Numista N#229313. Series and serial number: B 154687. No specimen marking, overprint, cancellation perforation or PMG/PCGS certification is noted. Heavily circulated condition. The banknote shows strong vertical and horizontal folds, pronounced creasing, general soiling, fading, stains, worn margins, rounded corners, small edge tears and one huge tear, pinholes and fragile paper along the fold lines.
