Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung

Beautiful Kyoto-yaki Ash-Glazed (Haiyu) Vessel with Comb-Pattern (Kushime) by Imai Satoshi (Ryuki-gama) - For Matcha Bowl (Chawan) or Kensui use.

【About the Piece】
This sophisticated ceramic piece features an exceptional ash glaze (Haiyu) with subtle, earthy gradations of brown, grey, and cream, complemented by a rustic horizontal comb-pattern (Kushime) encircling the exterior. The cylindrical form allows it to be used beautifully as a deep winter Matcha bowl (Tsutsu-chawan) or as a traditional Kensui (water waste vessel) for the Japanese tea ceremony (Chado).

The bottom reveals the natural, grainy texture of the clay and bears the artist's official stamp, "Ryuki" (龍喜). It comes with its original collector's wooden box (Tomobako), signed and sealed by the artist, and the original artist biography paper.
