The work is executed as a nikuhitsu painting on silk. The composition presents a highly symbolic and fortunate scene. Mount Fuji is traditionally associated with longevity, stability, and spiritual elevation. Cranes are long-standing symbols of long life, good fortune, and peace. Pine trees represent endurance, resilience, and eternal life, as they remain green throughout the year. Flowing water and waves symbolise continuity, purification, and the natural flow of life. The celestial maiden figure represents divine protection, purity, and blessings from the heavenly realm, reinforcing the sacred and auspicious atmosphere of the scene. Signed Hakuho (白峰) with a red artist’s seal to the right side of the painting. The work is hand-painted on silk. The roller ends are wooden. Condition: Minor blemishes are present on the painting surface. There are some stains on the mounting fabric. Foxing is present on the reverse side.
