Artist Profile: Naoki Tominaga was a Japanese sculptor born in Nagasaki in 1913. He studied sculpture at Tokyo Fine Arts School and trained under Kitamura Seibo. He received the Japan Art Academy Prize in 1972, was named a Person of Cultural Merit in 1984, and was awarded the Order of Culture in 1989.
