Artist Profile Emi Sato (b. 1973, Chiba Prefecture, Japan) is a printmaker specializing in mezzotint, a rare and technically demanding copperplate engraving method. She graduated from the Design Department of the Junior College of Musashino Art University in 1993 and began working with mezzotint in 1995. Her work has been selected for the International Miniature Print Exhibition in England multiple times (starting 1996) and the British International Miniature Print Exhibition, and she has held numerous solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Niigata, and Taiwan, among other venues.
