Vase - Porzellan - Japan - Iga Ware Zwei-Griff-Krug (Futamimi Tsubo) (Ohne mindestpreis)

This rustic Iga ware (伊賀焼) two-lug jar embodies the timeless beauty of one of Japan's oldest ceramic traditions. Hand-thrown from iron-rich clay, the vessel features a rounded silhouette accented by two applied lug handles on the shoulder, a classic form reminiscent of traditional Japanese storage jars. Its softly mottled ash glaze, warm beige and earthy brown tones, and natural fire markings are the result of high-temperature kiln firing, giving each surface a distinctive character. Fine incised bands encircle the body, while the unglazed foot reveals the rich reddish clay beneath. Signed by the artist near the base, this piece expresses the quiet elegance of the wabi-sabi aesthetic, celebrating natural textures, subtle imperfections, and restrained craftsmanship. Ideal as a flower vase or as a standalone decorative object, it is a refined example of contemporary Japanese studio pottery rooted in the enduring heritage of Iga ceramics. NOTICE

The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post depending on the situation. It normally takes about 3–4 weeks for delivery. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes customs authorities or the delivery company in your country may contact you by phone or email for customs clearance procedures. Please make sure you are available to respond. We appreciate your cooperation. Please note that due to the current conflict situation in the Middle East, international shipping routes from Japan to certain European destinations, including Portugal and the Czech Republic, are experiencing significant delays or temporary suspensions. Delivery times may therefore be longer than usual. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your kind understanding.
