This is an impressive Qing Dynasty court-style hanging screen executed in the refined bǎibǎo (hundred-treasure inlay) technique. The composition incorporates a rich range of materials, including green jade (bìyù), white jade, dyed bone, and enamel decoration, all set within a finely prepared lacquer ground.
The surface is built upon a traditional court lacquer structure with gesso (pī huī / plaster ground) beneath the lacquer layer, consistent with classical Qing imperial workshop techniques.
