This beautiful cylindrical shaped vase, designed by Leon Hallet, bears the model name "ALTENA". It is made by Val Saint Lambert in a rich cranberry colour combined with clear crystal. This famous Belgian factory uses a high quality crystal with 33-40% lead-content instead of the standard 24%, to ensure sparkling brilliance and clarity. The workmanship involved in the making of this vase with diamond-cut, hobnail decoration will be obvious when placed in the light. This vase is in excellent, near MINT condition with only very slight scratching on the base (see photo). Hand-signed on the base "Val St. Lambert" as well as a (partly misshapen) "M" for Master Craftsman. A quality addition to a glass or crystal collection. Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery.
