Fantastically beautiful and unusual antique outer lining from the well-known Villeroy & Boch! This pot was made around the turn of the century 1900 during the Art Nouveau era. It has a very beautiful and period-typical Japonism motif depicting a geisha playing a string instrument against a background of flowering branches and an elegant gold border along the upper edge. The bottom bears the model number 379 and the stamp "Gesetzlich Geschützt". The pot stands on characteristic, lime green/yellow fluted feet with a decorative geometric border at the bottom. A real collector's item that is hard to find! Dimensions: * Height: 16 cm * Diameter: 21 cm 932 grams Condition: The pot has a very beautiful, natural crackle in the glaze that gives a lovely patina. There are no chips. There are three hairline cracks: two that are a little larger and one smaller (see pictures for your own assessment). Otherwise in a nice and charming antique condition. NOTE! In picture five, far right on the pot, is a shadow of the mobile phone from when I took the picture. Please look carefully at the pictures to make your own assessment of the condition.
