Vintage Japanischer Seiden-Haori für Herren mit glückbringendem Kranich und Inro-Futter – Japan - Seide - Japan - Shōwa Zeit (1926-1989)

★Please read the complete item description before placing your bid, especially the Shipping, Import Duties & Taxes, and Information for EU Buyers sections. Thank you for your understanding. This vintage Japanese men’s haori dates from the Shōwa period. The exterior features a restrained brown geometric woven pattern, while the interior reveals a richly decorated lining with traditional Japanese auspicious motifs. The lining depicts cranes, shishi guardian lions, figures, architecture, and various inro-shaped ornaments connected by decorative cords. Cranes symbolize longevity and good fortune, while shishi are traditionally associated with protection. The subdued colours and classical composition give the garment an older character that differs from many later mass-produced haori. The contrast between the understated exterior and the elaborate hidden lining is characteristic of traditional Japanese men’s haori. It can be worn as a garment or displayed as Japanese textile art. The material is believed to be silk based on its texture, weave and appearance; however, there is no material label, and the fibre content has not been professionally tested. Condition: This is a used vintage garment with signs of age and wear. There are several small stains on the lining, together with minor thread pulls and small irregularities in the outer fabric. No major tears or serious structural damage are visible. The imperfections have been photographed in detail. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description. Please note that the haori hanger and display accessories shown in the photographs are not included. ■This listing includes the haori only. No kimono or other accessories are included. Origin: Japan Period: Shōwa period (1926–1989) Material: Probably silk (not professionally verified) Type: Men’s haori Motifs: Cranes, shishi, figures, architecture, inro and auspicious symbols ■Shipping Please note that due to lighting conditions, camera settings, and individual monitor displays, the actual color may differ slightly from the photographs. Delivery times may vary depending on customs clearance, local postal services, weather conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances. Customs inspections may occasionally cause additional delays.
