Vase - Takaoka Bronze – Blattgold – Sōtarō Saegusa (三枝惣太郎) – “Ritsu” (律) – Nitten-Künstler – Japan - Japan (Ohne mindestpreis)

Artist: Sōtarō Saegusa (三枝惣太郎) Title: Ritsu (律) Material: Cast bronze with gold leaf Origin: Japan – Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture Period: Shōwa period (20th century) Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Minor surface variations consistent with age and traditional hand-finishing techniques may be present. No significant damage is observed. Please examine the photographs carefully. ─────── This striking Japanese bronze vase, entitled “Ritsu” (律), was created by Sōtarō Saegusa (三枝惣太郎), a distinguished Takaoka metal artist whose works were exhibited at the prestigious Nitten exhibitions. The tall, architectural form is finished with a deep green patina and decorated with boldly arranged areas of lustrous gold leaf. The contrast between the rich green bronze surface and the brilliant gold creates a refined yet distinctly modern composition. “Ritsu” is a Japanese word associated with rhythm, musical order, and melody. The title reflects the visual rhythm created by the seemingly spontaneous arrangement of gold and bronze across the surface, giving the work a sense of movement similar to the progression of a musical composition. The underside bears the artist’s impressed seal, incorporating a stylized form of the character “惣” from his given name, Sōtarō. A biographical leaflet introducing Sōtarō Saegusa and his artistic career is included. ─────── Included ・ Bronze Gold Leaf Vase ・ Artist (Saigusa Sotaro) Biography Leaflet ─────── Dimensions ・ Height: approximately 26 cm ・ Maximum diameter: approximately 8 cm ・ Mouth diameter: approximately 3.5 cm ・ Weight: approximately 910 g ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Shipping • Carefully packed and shipped with tracking. • International shipping via Yamato Transport or Japan Post. • Import duties, taxes, VAT, and other charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost and are the buyer’s responsibility.
