Château RIEUSSEC - 1982 - 1er grand CRU CLASSÉ 1855 - SAUTERNES Located on the highest point of the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes, Château Rieussec, a neighbor of Yquem, has a one-piece vineyard, with clayey-gravel or clay-sandy soil. In the 18th century, the estate belonged to the monks of the Carmelite of Langon. Then in 1855, it was classified 1st cru. Finally, in 1984, Baron Eric de Rothschild acquired this classified premier cru from Sauternes (Lafite, Duhart-Milon). They endowed the ownership of a new cellar in 1989, allowing long breeding (between 16 and 26 months). The harvest is carried out in several tries and the estate does not hesitate not to produce wines if the vintage is not good. About the vintage This wine is one of the richest and most opulent in the appellation. Very fruity, revealing notes of sweet spices and vanilla, it is of remarkable complexity.
