An elegant vintage Hermès Carré featuring the celebrated “Flora Graeca” design by Greek artist and botanical illustrator Niki Goulandris, originally issued in 1983.

The composition presents an exceptionally rich botanical arrangement, with intertwined flowers, leaves and stems creating an almost three-dimensional floral tapestry. The intense fuchsia to raspberry-red background provides a striking contrast to the softer botanical palette of olive green, lavender, pale blue, ivory, soft pink and muted gold tones.

The scarf bears the “Hermès – Paris ” marking as well as the artist’s signature within the design.

A particularly decorative vintage Carré that combines Hermès’ tradition of silk craftsmanship with the distinctive botanical work of Niki Goulandris.

Condition:
The scarf is in very beautiful and well-preserved vintage condition. There are no holes, tears, stains, or other damage. The hand-rolled hems and stitching are fully intact and undamaged. The colours remain exceptionally vibrant, rich and well-defined, with the elaborate botanical design retaining its clarity and fine detail.

The original care/composition label is no longer present. Considering the age of the scarf, the absence of the sewn-in label is not unusual for a vintage piece. The scarf itself bears the Hermès Paris marking and Niki Goulandris’ signature within the print.
