Hyojun Moncho 標準紋帖 – Zeitloses japanisches Kamon-Nachschlagewerk - Papier - Japan - Shōwa Zeit (1926-1989)

This remarkable vintage book, “Hyojun Moncho (標準紋帖)”, is a classic Japanese reference catalogue devoted to Kamon, the traditional family crests that symbolized lineage, honor, and identity throughout Japanese history. Compiled by Yoshino Takejiro and published by Kinensha in 1968 (Showa 43), this desirable vintage edition presents an extraordinary variety of Japanese crests, including elegant plants, animals, geometric forms, and symbolic motifs. The crisp black designs are beautifully printed on softly aged ivory paper, creating a refined monochrome contrast that highlights the symmetry and graphic beauty of every crest. Especially remarkable is its exceptional state of preservation. Despite being nearly 60 years old, the pages remain remarkably clean and the illustrations beautifully sharp. The original slipcase is also preserved. Older examples in such attractive condition are increasingly difficult to find. A fascinating collectible for enthusiasts of Japanese art, samurai culture, kimono and textile design, heraldry, traditional patterns, and vintage Japanese books. 【Size】 • Height: 19.5 cm • Width: 13 cm • Depth: 2.3 cm 【Condition】 Excellent vintage condition. This is an unused vintage piece (New Old Stock) in beautiful condition. The black lacquer and raised Maki-e retain their magnificent, original luster. Due to decades of storage, there are a few very faint, inconspicuous scratches, but they are barely noticeable. 【Important Shipping Notice】 Due to the situation in the Middle East, shipping delays or returns may occur for certain countries and regions. If a parcel is returned after dispatch, we regret that we will be unable to resend it, as no alternative shipping method is currently available. In that case, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be issued. Please bid or purchase only if you understand and accept these conditions. 【Shipping】 This item will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking and insurance to ensure it arrives safely. It takes about 3~4 weeks to receive normally. 【Notice】 Please note that customs fees, taxes, and any charges are the responsibility of the buyer. We appreciate your understanding. Occasionally, customs or the delivery company in your country may contact you for customs clearance via phone or email. Kindly ensure you are available to respond.
