Zimbro, Refugees Rum Blending By Ljubomir Stanisic 3 x 0.50L Rum PRODUCTION Refugees Rum is the result of a blend created by Chef Ljubomir Stanisic, aged for two years at the Zimbro distillery in French oak barrels that previously held Douro wine and then cherry liqueur. Produced from sugarcane from Syria and North Africa (certification of origin), which migrated across the Mediterranean Sea to southern Spain, where it was distilled, and finally arrived in Portugal, this is a rum of noble woods, with sweetness, elegance and subtlety. SERVING Excellent at the end of the meal, as a digestive, or in cocktails. Store in an upright position, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Consume in moderation. HISTORY For nearly three decades, ZIMBRO has been dedicated to the production of liqueurs and spirits, as well as their distribution both nationally and internationally. It began operations in the late 1980s in the village of Tortosendo, on the slopes of Serra da Estrela, led by its mentor Artur Aleixo, and has been supported by a solid and essential team of collaborators to this day. Beginning with the production of traditional Serra da Estrela liqueurs—one of the hallmarks of this emblematic region—and some follow-up products, the company has sustained its growth and progress over the years, currently boasting a portfolio of approximately seven dozen products under its own brands, such as Licor Serrano, Ginja Serra da Estrela, and Wild Snow Dog Dry...
