While Acheroraptor is primarily known from the Hell Creek Formation, some fragmentary remains, including teeth, have been found in the geologically similar Lance Formation from the same time period. These fossils are from the late Maastrichtian age (around 66 million years ago). Identifying Acheroraptor teeth can be challenging, but they may have subtle apicobasal ridges and different-sized serrations on the anterior versus posterior sides of the crown.
