A strong group of 50 Reichsbanknoten from the inflation year 1922, built up by the former owner by series and printer code: 28 x 5000 Mark, Berlin 2 December 1922 (Ro. 80 / Pick 81) - the handsome large note with the portrait of the merchant Imhof after Duerer. SEVEN of these are the desirable examples WITH THE LEFT-HAND MARGIN TAB (Kontrollabschnitt / counterfoil) still attached: series B with printer code BK, serial numbers 060322, 060323, 060327, 060473, 060475 and 060486 (nearly consecutive!), plus Ka 073165 O - in Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated, with fresh paper and original sheen. Notes with the tab intact are much scarcer than the ordinary trimmed examples. The remaining 21 pieces cover a wide range of series and Firmenzeichen (printer codes): BK (B, D, J, W), E T, F X, HA Q (star note), HR Ja, O Ja, O K, S B, S G, S N, T B, WF E (star note), WF J, WF WB, WO T, X A, Y Y (star note) and more - mostly Very Fine, some Fine. 16 x 500 Mark, Berlin 7 July 1922 (Ro. 71 / Pick 74), the grey-blue 'Fuenfhundert Mark' on watermarked paper. An album run by series letter: B, C (x2), D (x2), E (x2), G, K, L, N, R, X, Y, Z. Good to Very Fine; a few with heavier folds and soiling, one with a small edge tear. 6 x 500 Mark, Berlin 27 March 1922 (Ro. 70 / Pick 73), the brown portrait type after Duerer's Tucher portrait. Series A (x2), B (x2), D and E. Very Good to Very Fine. All genuine, original notes from an old Belgian collection. Not legal tender (demonetised historical banknotes).
