Orrefors glass vase "Rosebud" designed by Erika Lagerbielke in the sommerso technique in the 1980s/90s. This vase features a magenta core enveloped by an emerald green layer and encased in a solid layer of clear glass. The vase has an organic oval shape and was manufactured in Sweden. Height: 23 cm Width: 16 cm Opening: 3 cm Weight: 4.2 kilograms Condition is very good, very small chip on the bottom, see photos. Erika Lagerbielke is one of Sweden's most renowned designers and glass artists, and her work is internationally acclaimed and appreciated. Lagerbielke works primarily with glass and has collaborated with Orrefors and Kosta Boda since 1982. During the years 2005 to 2026, Erika Lagerbielke acted a professor in design at Linnaeus University. Her research interests include artistic research with a focus on glass art, the cultural development of glass in Sweden, the materiality and culture of meals, and the sustainable development of glass.
