Item Description This is a Japanese decorative vase named "Ikaruga." It features a rounded pear-shaped body that tapers into a slender neck, with a gently flaring trumpet-shaped mouth, standing on a small foot rim. The surface displays a rich, layered finish in tones of bronze, deep olive, and black, with mottled patches of green and vermilion emerging throughout, lending it a distinctly mineral-like texture. The interior of the neck and the rim reveal a vivid green glaze-like finish, creating a striking contrast with the subdued tones of the exterior. The exact metal composition has not been confirmed; however, based on its substantial weight and surface characteristics, it may be cast bronze or a copper alloy, as commonly found in traditional Japanese metal vases. No maker's signature or stamp is present on the base. This piece is a family heirloom passed down from a grandmother, and has been carefully preserved as a decorative object. It would suit collectors of Japanese metalwork, or those seeking a vase with a striking and texturally rich presence. Dimensions Height: 21.5 cm Width: 11 cm Depth: 11 cm Weight 915 g Condition No notable chips, cracks, or dents are visible, and the overall condition is good.
