39. ACCA XF+ Warring States Period - Yan Ming Knife, square tip/back with 'Jun', clear characters/beautiful green patina, includes certificate. Ming knives, also called Yi knives or Ming character knives, are a type of knife-shaped currency cast in the Yan and Qi states during the pre-Qin period in China. The obverse of the knife coins has characters, and there are multiple interpretations of the inscriptions, such as 'Ming,' 'Yi,' or 'Yan.' The casting period of Yan Ming knives is generally believed to be during the Warring States period, though some scholars think it started as early as the late Spring and Autumn period and lasted into the early Warring States period. Numismatics consensus holds that the arched-tip Ming knives were cast earlier than the bell-shaped tip ones, with bell-shaped tip knives appearing in the late Warring States period. As for the Qi Ming knives, most believe they were cast in the late Warring States period after Yan General Yue Yi defeated Qi and occupied many of its cities, roughly between 284 and 279 BC. Zhang Chi, however, suggests that Qi Ming knives first appeared in the early middle period of the Warring States. This knife coin is a classic Yan Ming knife, extremely ancient. At this time, China had not yet developed unified round coins. It’s a really beautiful knife-shaped currency, with a 'Jun' character on the back that is crisp and clear, showing a lovely green patina. Collectors who like this kind, don’t miss it. * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer *I don't accept a negative rating for the reason that a guest has to pay taxes to their own country, * For more information, please check the ACCA official website * If you are still bidding in the store, you can tell me to send it later. * For guests from Italy 、Netherlandsand Portugal, please note that it usually takes a long time for package delivery to Italy and Portugal, especially Netherlands,so please be patient or consider providing me with an address in another country Thank you and good luck!
