The reverse sides retain printed karakami paper with fans and auspicious motifs. A striking surviving set of Japanese interior panels, also suitable for decorative wall display with appropriate mounting hardware. Condition: antique condition with age-related toning, stains, abrasions, small losses and pinholes to the painted and gold-leaf surfaces.
