Item Description :
This captivating Japanese painting by renowned artist Shutaro Muramatsu, titled "First Snow on Mount Asama" (初雪 浅間山), is an exquisite representation of Japan's natural beauty in winter. Executed in the traditional Nihonga style, the work is delicately painted with gold mud (金泥仕様), enhancing the texture and elegance of the snowy landscape. A still lake mirrors the pristine white peaks under a deep cobalt sky, while leafless trees create striking contrast against the snow-covered hills. The artist’s mastery of color, texture, and seasonal atmosphere is beautifully evident. The painting is signed on the front and comes with the original artist’s seal and label on the reverse, housed in a sophisticated silver-toned frame with linen matting. A stunning piece that exemplifies the serene yet powerful qualities of Japanese winter landscapes.
