Unbenutztes japanisches Kimono aus 100% reiner Seide – Houmongi-Kimono in Karie-ba-Form – - Seide - Japan - Heisei Zeit (1989-heute)

This is a refined, pale pink-cream houmongi (formal kimono) in “karie-ba” (仮絵羽) form, made of 100% pure silk. What is Karie-ba? Karie-ba means the kimono panels have been temporarily basted together so that the design flows continuously across the seams, but the garment has not yet been fully sewn. This is the traditional state in which a new formal kimono is delivered from the kimono maker. The basting threads are visible along the seams, hem, and sleeves in the photos. The buyer can have it tailored to their exact body size by a Japanese kimono tailor (wafuku shop), or use the silk creatively for a dress, jacket, wall hanging, interior decoration, or other craft projects. Because it has not been cut to a fixed size, it offers great flexibility. Design The pale pink-cream ground has a beautifully woven sayagata (linked-key) pattern, scattered with tiny chrysanthemum motifs. This gives the silk a soft, tone-on-tone depth that glows gently in the light. A graceful, flowing band in soft mauve-lilac sweeps from the hem up to the sleeves and shoulders, like a quiet stream. It is decorated with fine gold-leaf patterns of delicate grasses, tiny flowers, and waves. Along the band, rounded medallions in pink are set like drifting clouds. Some are filled with shibori (tie-dye) dots, and others carry gold-printed patterns of waves, lattice, and bamboo. Hand-embroidered autumn flowers, such as cosmos, chrysanthemums, and dianthus, bloom inside the medallions in orange, pale blue, and soft white, with gold thread highlights that add a touch of luxury. The soft, harmonious colors and fine craftsmanship make this a graceful choice for weddings, graduations, tea ceremonies, and other celebratory occasions, as well as for collectors and display. Material: 100% pure silk Measurements (approx.) Body length (身丈): 170 cm Sleeve-to-sleeve measurement (裄丈): 69 cm Sleeve length (袖丈): 61 cm Fabric width (生地幅): 37 cm Because the garment is in karie-ba (basted) form, the measurements are those of the basted state. Final sizing depends on tailoring. Condition Unused. Original basting threads remain in place. The original price tag (¥258,000) is attached (see photo). Colors may look slightly different depending on your screen and lighting. Shipping: Carefully packed and shipped via Fedex, DHL or EMS with tracking and insurance. Customs & VAT: Please note that Value Added Tax (VAT), import duties, and customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility and may be collected by your local customs office upon delivery. Please note that as of 1 July 2026, the EU has abolished the de minimis customs exemption. All shipments to EU countries are now subject to import duties and VAT regardless of the declared value of the goods. For shipments with a declared value under €150, an additional customs processing fee of €3 may also apply.
