Mother Goose Goes Hollywood (1938) Stan Laurel as Simple Simon Animation Drawing Minnie goes to hang up a litter of sopping wet kittens to dry, in this original set of two 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from Mickey's Pal Pluto. In this Burt Gillett-directed cartoon Pluto is hailed as a hero for saving a bag full of kittens from an icy river but becomes jealous of the attention they receive from Mickey and Minnie. This endearing short was loosely remade in 1941, when Walt Disney studios had access to technicolor, to the Academy Award winning short animation Lend a Paw. Celebrating the legacy of Disney's award-winning story-telling, this pair of production artwork is an exceptional find! Rendered with graphite. Both drawings show light handling wear, edge wear, light age-related toning, and peghole supports on the kittens drawing. The kitten's page also has light warping and small tears along the top edge. In Good to Very Good condition.
