Außergewöhnlicher Edmontosaurus-Dinosaurierzahn – Hervorragender Erhaltungszustand - Fossiler Zahn - Edmontosaurus sp. (attributed) - 1.5 cm (Ohne mindestpreis)
A beautifully preserved fossil tooth attributed to Edmontosaurus, one of the most iconic herbivorous dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous.
This attractive 1.5 cm specimen displays very good overall preservation, making it a wonderful addition to any dinosaur fossil collection.
*Edmontosaurus* was a large herbivorous dinosaur belonging to the Hadrosauridae family, commonly known as the duck-billed dinosaurs.
Living approximately 73–66 million years ago in North America, this remarkable dinosaur could reach lengths of around 12 metres and was among the last dinosaurs to inhabit Earth before the mass extinction at the end of the Cretaceous.
Edmontosaurus possessed one of the most sophisticated dental systems among herbivorous dinosaurs.
Its jaws contained hundreds of tightly packed teeth arranged into specialized structures known as dental batteries, allowing the animal to efficiently grind tough prehistoric vegetation.
As individual teeth became worn down, they were continuously replaced throughout the dinosaur's life.
Edmontosaurus fossils are particularly fascinating because this dinosaur lived alongside legendary predators such as Tyrannosaurus rex and other iconic dinosaurs, including Triceratops.
A beautiful and authentic piece of prehistoric history, perfect for dinosaur enthusiasts, fossil collectors and natural history displays.
Please carefully examine the photographs for the specimen's individual condition and preservation.
