This is a vertically symmetrical, sand-cast bronze idiophone meticulously weighted and shaped to resemble a Buddhist stupa pagoda or the abstract profile of a seated, robed Buddha. It features a center suspension hole drilled perfectly at its balance threshold. When suspended from its leather strap and hit firmly on its flared wingtips with a soft mallet, it generates a heavy, low-frequency base chime.
