Degué A nice pair of authentic 1925-1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding slip shades in clear frosted molded-pressed glass by Degué. The company ran by David Guéron, founded in 1925. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Edouard Cazaux as his artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the company finally closed down in 1939. This model pinecone shade is never signed. It is represented in the old Degué catalog as model #500. The sconces are 28 cm high 21,5 cm wide and 15,3 cm deep. They are in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounts. The fixtures come rewired. Old bayonet fitters are highly unpractical and forbidden to use by electricians or professional restorers out of safety reasons. I will place new E14 sockets.
