H.PETITOT & MULLER FRERES A nice 1930 French art deco chandelier by Petitot with a large and deep bowl by the glass factory of Muller freres. Done in clear frosted molded-pressed frosted glass and nickel-plated bronze, by the famous Paris based company of Hubert Petitot (10 rue du Vert-Bois). His father Alexandre Petitot founded the company in 1857. Hubert (1877-1938) and his brother August took over after the first world war. The company finally closed in 2009. The pendant on offer is represented in the 1931 Petitot catalog. The thick shade in molded-pressed frosted glass is signed Muller freres Luneville. A nice and rare model by this famous French glass manufacturer. It has a height of 25 cm and is 36 cm wide. One of the largest model bowls Muller produced. The pendant has a total drop of 61 cm. It's in very good condition. I have re-nickeled the mounting. And it comes newly wired. The chandelier holds an American standard base socket. For Europe I will wire it with a European E27 one.
