Absolute collectors item, Before the iPod was even a thought, Sony had sold hundreds of millions of its iconic cassette players! And this is the very first model! The model was not even called walkman, that name came later. The last picture shows a later TSP L2 with the text: "walkman". The sony walkman was an idea of Masaru Ibuka en Morita-san (Chairman of Sony), and became a huge hit for Sony, they produced the cassette holding version up to 2010, by then they had made 200 million walkmans (not including the cd walkman). The walkman offered here is in a decent condition, the motor works, but the belts need to be replaced, which is normal for a device this age. The battery unit is clean.
