This book, which seems to be a condensation of the editorial style of Seigo Matsuoka, who had a great influence not only on his thought and thinking but also in the fields of art and design, is a collection of photographs featuring the actress Fan Bunjaku, who was at the height of her popularity at the time. With the cooperation of more than 10 of Japan's leading photographers, the book depicts Fan Wenjyan from various perspectives in order to express her multifaceted charms, including her exceptional beauty, unique appearance, and strength as a woman. The book is divided into chapters of “mirror,” “memory,” “man,” and “make,” and includes images taken by Shunji Okura, Masato Okada, Shozo Kitadai, Kumiko Kimura, Hikaru Sasaki, Wataru Sasaki, Saku Sawatari, Sumie Tanabe, Tsutomu Toda, Masatoshi Naito, Yoichi Nagata, Kazutaka Narahara, Takumi Miyaji, Jun Morinaga, and Noboru Yokoyama. Art direction is by Matsuoka, with layout and design by Tsutomu Toda.
