A substantial and finely decorated Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vase of baluster form with a slightly flared neck and a galleried rim. The vase is intricately painted with vibrant enamels in the "Hundred Birds" style, specifically featuring songbirds perched amidst blossoming peonies and prunus branches emerging from stylized "scholar's rocks" (Taihu rocks). The decoration is divided into large pictorial panels bordered by elaborate Wan-character (Swastika) fretwork and geometric patterns in turquoise and pink. The neck is adorned with a secondary scene of lotus ponds and ducks, symbolizing peace and harmony. The use of bright enamels, including the characteristic rose-pink and turquoise, is typical of high-quality late Qing Dynasty export wares. Condition Report Overall Condition: Excellent/Nearly perfect. Minor Flaw: There is a very small hairline crack of approximately 2 mm at the mouth rim (see photos). No other damages, cracks, or restorations are visible. The enamels remain bright with minimal surface wear.
