Very rare!!! The vineyards of Syrah, organised in terraces on the granite hillsides of Cornas and on natural slopes of up to 50-60% (and not mechanisable), are ideally located in the best areas, in the heart of the Cornas appellation. They produce remarkable wines that are very pure and authentic expressions of the great Syrah of the North of the Rhone Valley, with a superb and rare ageing potential, like the great wines of Côte-Rôtie of the Jamet domain. A 15-year guard often seems suitable, and it is therefore advisable to arm yourself with patience before being able to appreciate the red wines of the estate at their peak. The large cuvée of Clape expresses a straight and racy wine, and is a true reference of the appellation. The Renaissance cuvée is affordable younger, and can be considered as a prelude to great wine. The vinifications are the least interventionist possible, traditional and parcels, in whole bunches, and accompanied by aging in ancient foudres. The result is convincing, with powerful red wines that defy the years and express the terroir of Cornas with real brilliance. A model for the appellation. The very small size of the AOC Cornas is felt on the price of wines, which has increased significantly for 5 to 8 years. Please note that no shipments outside the European Union will be made. Where it is necessary to have an import licence in the country of the purchaser, the buyer will take care of his possession. In addition, the purchaser shall bear the customs import fees and other taxes.
