It all began in the late 1990s when the Parisian artist decided to install his first mosaic in the streets, referencing the 1980s arcade game Space Invaders. To date, he has installed over 4000 of these mosaics, more than 1500 of which are in Paris. The Flash Invader app, created in 2014, has given him access to an enormous international audience, now boasting nearly 30 million flashes to date. His work extends across prints, invasion kits, aliases, works made from Rubik’s Cubes, and other pieces and objects that play with pixels and reflect broader popular culture.
