Signed, Eimu Arino - Cities Space Between Real and Unreal - 1983

Signed, Cities Space Between Real and Unreal Eimu Arino Self-Published/1983/Japanese/240*250*18 Japanese photographer Eigiri Arino's photo book “Cities Space Between Real and Unreal -Cities Space Between Real and Unreal-”. His real name is Masaki Arino. After graduating from Osaka Gakugei University with a degree in English literature and working as a junior high school teacher, Nagiri Arino began his career as a photographer in the mid-1970s. He studied under Takeji Iwamiya and began holding exhibitions in the late 1970s, and this book is his memorable first photo book published in 1983 in a private edition. This is the first book of Nagiri Arino's representative early works, in which he pursues the relationship between “cities” and “people,” and continues to depict “urban consciousness” sometimes from the perspective of the city, rather than people. Composed of snaps taken in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Osaka, Kobe, etc., the contrast and multifaceted nature of the city and people, effectively using reflections, is unique and interesting. Through the illustrations, the works are so profound that one is under the illusion that objects and cities appeal to and work on something more than people.
