Brosche Platin - 0.88ct. tw. Diamant (Natürlich) - Vintage 1900 Belle Epoque

Type of jewel: 1900s Belle Epoque Guirland Style platinum diamond pendant Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given the jewel`s age. Style: Vintage 1900`s Belle Epoque Style characteristics: The Belle Époque (French for "Beautiful Era") was a period in European social history that began during the late 19th century from the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871) and lasted until World War I (1914-18). Era: ca. 1900 Material: platinum (touchstone tested) Diamond(s): Five old mine brilliant cut (also called bolshevics) with an estimated weight of ± 0.88ct. (colour and clarity: F/H, vvs/si). 80 senaille and rose cuts. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. - When we provide weights, colour grades, and clarity of diamonds, these are approximate unless otherwise stated, as we do not remove diamonds from their settings to preserve the integrity of the piece. - We understand that private buyers may expect diamond weights to be provided, but in the case of rose-cut or senaille diamonds, this is simply not standard practice among industry professionals specialising in antique and vintage jewellery. Unlike brilliant-cut diamonds, where weight correlates with diameter, rose cuts vary in thickness, making weight estimation impossible once set. Providing such figures could lead to unnecessary debates, as rose-cut diamonds were traditionally valued for their visual effect rather than intrinsic worth. Even major auction houses like Sotheby’s and Christie’s rarely list their weight, except for exceptionally large stones, where diameter is often provided instead. - All diamonds, regardless of their size or shape, in our vintage and antique jewellery are verified as 100% natural by the IJGC laboratory. - We do not sell lab-grown (synthetic) diamonds. Birth and month stones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April. Hallmarks: No trace. Dimensions: 5,41 cm (2,13 inch) x 4,09 cm (1,61 inch) - See picture with a ruler in cm and inches Weight: 7,20 gram (4,63 dwt) Adin reference Nº: 25171-0277 - All jewels are delivered in an Adin jewellery box. Jewellery boxes shown in photos are for display purposes only and are not included with the jewel, unless stated otherwise. - Accompanied by a professional report of authenticity for your peace of mind. - Shipped insured and registered for your security, though you're most welcome to collect in person. - For shipments outside the EU, import duties and other charges may apply. We advise checking this in advance. - We invite you to browse through our customer feedback to discover the level of satisfaction we consistently provide. - See more of our products, visit: https://auction.catawiki.com/lotsfrom/Adin - Antique and vintage jewellery often undergoes thoughtful refurbishment, remodelling, or repairs to enhance its longevity and wearability. Such pieces frequently bear marks of this tender care. Furthermore, we present our antique and vintage jewellery in its authentic state, refraining from removing scratches or applying rhodium plating to white gold items. Our priority is to preserve the genuine allure and history of each piece. However, as the new owner, you have the option to take it to a local goldsmith for a cosmetic refresh, should you choose.
