Katsumi Omori - Everything Happens for the First Time - 2011

Please be aware of VAT and customs duties! Due to my busy business trips, it may take up to a week for your order to be shipped. After shipping from Japan, it will take approximately 1-2 weeks for it to arrive in Europe. As this is a used book, there may be some damage, mainly to the exterior, such as scratches, scuffs, and dirt due to age, but the text and photos are in good condition. The outer shipping box has some dents and damage, but the photos show it in good condition. This is a very valuable photo book limited to 350 copies. The Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, was an unprecedented disaster that the Japanese people had never experienced before. Photographer Katsumi Omori instinctively decided to travel, traveling from his workplace in Tokyo to Urayasu, and to various parts of Fukushima Prefecture, where the nuclear power plant accident occurred, to photograph cherry blossoms, a subject he has been photographing continuously since 2001. What was Omori thinking when he snapped the picture of cherry blossoms, which only bloom for a limited time of the year? Of all the photobooks embodying the keyword "FUKUSHIMA," this one has a unique presence. Though it contains only 15 photographs, the sheer size of the pages forces the reader to sit back and quietly gaze upon the images.
