Peter Rabbit Mini Dessert Plates Set of 5 - Japan Exclusive ◎ Product Overview: A Rare Japanese Exclusive Set(本品は日本から発送します) This is a rare, non-commercial set of Peter Rabbit dessert plates that was exclusively available in Japan. The set was created in 2017 as a campaign item for clients of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking, a long-established Japanese bank. The small dishes were produced domestically in Japan. The wooden box features an iconic quote from the story: "ONCE upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were-Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail. and Peter." The plate on the upper right features Mrs. Rabbit warning her children not to go into Mr. McGregor's garden: "You may go into the field or down the lane, but don't go to Mr. McGregor's garden." This set is a perfect interior accent to add a touch of Japanese and classic English charm to any room. 【The deep connection between Peter Rabbit and the Trust Bank】 Peter Rabbit is beloved by people all over the world, transcending generations. The author of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," Beatrix Potter, was born in London in 1866. Having grown up in a wealthy family, Beatrix visited the Lake District in England every summer and sketched many wild animals in the forests and fields. From these sketches, the world of Peter Rabbit and his friends was born. Beatrix was keen to preserve the wonderful nature of the Lake District, which she deeply loved. She joined the National Trust movement, established to protect natural landscapes and buildings. With the income earned from publishing the Peter Rabbit picture book series, she successively purchased land and, while managing farms as a farmer, published works such as "The Tale of Tom Kitten" and "The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck." When Beatrix passed away in 1943, the 4,000 acres of land she owned were entrusted to the National Trust through her will, and the land is still maintained and managed in its original state today. The splendid scenery that one picture book author wished to protect continues to give people the beauty and inspiration of nature even today, over a century later, and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. Beatrix used a "Trust" (信託) to preserve the important landscape of the Lake District. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking, a Japanese trust bank, identified with Beatrix's philosophy regarding the great responsibility and pride of a trust, and adopted Peter Rabbit as its image character in 1988. 【Important Information Before Bidding】 This item will be shipped from Japan.
