An 18kt yellow gold large zig zag brooch by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co in 1983. An iconic and well known piece instantly recognizable by its simplistic and timeless design. Size 48.4 x 67.4 cm. Paloma Picasso began her long-term partnership with Tiffany & Co. in 1979 by designing a table setting, which led to a jewelry collection launched in 1980. Her first collection for the brand, "Paloma's Graffiti," was inspired by street art and helped modernize the brand. She soon followed with the iconic Zig Zag motif which further launched her career. Her work is characterized by bold, graphic designs, sometimes featuring large colored gemstones, which continues to be a hallmark of her collections for Tiffany & Co to this day.
